Sunny Kids Academy is a small family child care home nestled in the Mountain Island Lake Area of Charlotte North Carolina. Sunny Kids Academy provide your child with a fun-filled early education and care in a home-like environment. At Sunny Kids Academy children are able to thrive and grow developmentally and academically.

Our philosophy at Sunny Kids Academy is to provide each and every child an opportunity to learn, play, and grow in a high quality family child care home. We believe in order for children to be successful learners it is our mission to start early and teach them skills based on their age and stage of development. At Sunny Kids Academy family is very important to me. I believe in supporting all families by assisting them with their family values and providing an open door policy.

Hi families my name is Sundra Hanna, but everyone calls me Ms. Sunny. I am the owner of Sunny Kids Academy. I have over 20 plus year of experience working with children and families in the early care and education field. I have a BS in Health Education. I have taken several post baccalaureate courses at University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Child and Family Development. I am certified in First Aid, SIDS, CPR, and holds a Level III NC Child Care Administration.
